Rule-19
on, in ,at - are not used before today, tomorrow, yesterday, the following day ,the next day etc.
Incorrect - They will go there on tomorrow
Correct - They will go there tomorrow
Rule-20
We cannot use preposition "To " before the word "home"
Incorrect- He will go to home
Correct - He will go home
Rule-21
After transitive verbs like - describe ,discuss, reach , order , tell, demand ,attack ,resemble etc. We should use the object only avoiding any preposition
Incorrect-- He tells about the world history
Correct - He tells the world history
Rule-22
Say, Speak , reply , Suggest, Explain , Listen Write, Talk - these words are followed by " to " preposition if there is a person in the form of object
Incorrect - He did not reply me
Correct - He did not reply to me
Rule-23
When a pronoun is used as a compliment of the verb "to be " it should be in the nominative case.
Incorrect - If I were him I would not do it
Correct - If I were he I would not do it
Rule - 24
When a pronoun is used as the object of verb for of a preposition it should be in the objective case.
Incorrect - These books are for you and I
Correct - These books are for you and me
Rule-25
Emphatic pronouns (itself, myself, himself, themselves etc ) cannot stand alone as subject
Incorrect - Himself did it
Correct - He himself did it
Rule-26
The indefinite pronoun "one" should be used throughout the sentence if used at all
Incorrect - One should focus on its own work
Correct - One should focus on one's own work
Rule-27
'Either' or 'neither ' is used only in speaking of two persons or things . 'any ', 'no one', 'none' is used in speaking of more than two
Incorrect- Either of the three is right
Correct - Any of the three is right
Rule-28
'each other' is used in speaking of two persons or things
'one another ' is used in speaking of more than two
Incorrect - We must help each other
Connect - We must help one another
